This is a very long and overdue blog post.
As some people may have noticed, I haven't been active on my website since the beginning of summer 2025. I therefore have many updates and photos to share on my site.
Let's start with the biggest news, the reason why I did not share many photos over the past summer: my husband and I went to Italy!
Yes, my longtime dream of traveling to Italy became a reality this summer. For one week, my husband and I dined on authentic Italian cuisine, walked many miles on pavement and cobblestone, basked in the beauty of numerous, grand basilicas, and stood in the presence of ancient artifacts that have miraculously survived hundreds or thousands of years. We stayed in Rome, but we took two day trips to Vatican City. It's an experience that I am extremely grateful for, but part of me is still in disbelief that we actually spent a week in Italy!
As you can imagine, I took many photos during our trip. This photo of the Colosseum is one of the few photos that I have edited and shared on my social media.
Because of the large number of photos I took in Italy, I made the conscious decision to refrain from taking many photos for the rest of the summer. I have since gone out on photoshoots and shared new, autumnal photos on my social media pages. However, as of November 2025, I have many more photos from Italy to edit and eventually organize into a Photo Journal. It's going to be awhile until this project is finally published.
